Products and Conditions
What products does Refurbly Australia sell?
Refurbly sells brand-new, open-box, refurbished and pre-owned technology products. Our range includes laptops, desktop computers, workstations, monitors, tablets, phones, headphones, networking products, servers, storage, memory, accessories, office equipment, appliances and other electronics.
What does refurbished mean?
A refurbished product is a previously owned, returned, ex-lease, ex-corporate or ex-display product that has been inspected and prepared for resale.
The refurbishment process may include:
- Hardware and functionality testing
- Professional cleaning and sanitisation
- Secure data erasure where applicable
- Operating-system installation or reset
- Repair or replacement of faulty components where required
- Battery and charging checks
- Final quality-control inspection
Refurbished products may show signs of previous use consistent with their advertised condition grade.
What is the difference between Excellent, Very Good and Good condition?
Excellent: Fully functional with minimal cosmetic signs of previous use.
Very Good: Fully functional with moderate cosmetic wear such as scratches, marks or small scuffs.
Good: Fully functional with more noticeable wear, which may include scratches, dents, casing wear or signs of previous commercial use.
Review our Product Conditions page for full grading information.
Will a refurbished product look brand new?
Not necessarily. Refurbished products may have scratches, scuffs, small dents, keyboard wear, casing marks or other signs of previous use. The amount of wear depends on the advertised condition grade.
Refurbished means the product has been assessed, tested and prepared for resale. It does not mean that every component has been replaced.
Are product images of the exact item I will receive?
Images may be manufacturer images, representative stock images or photographs of an actual unit.
Where representative images are used, the product supplied may have minor cosmetic, packaging, accessory, label or component differences while still meeting the advertised model, specifications and grade.
What does open box mean?
Open-box products are unused or substantially unused products whose packaging has been opened, damaged, removed or replaced.
They may have been opened for inspection, serial-number verification, testing, photography or quality control.
Will my product include original packaging?
Brand-new products generally include manufacturer or distributor packaging unless otherwise stated.
Refurbished and open-box products may arrive in original, replacement, plain protective or Refurbly-branded packaging.
Are chargers and accessories included?
Essential accessories stated in the listing will be supplied. Refurbished products may include original accessories or compatible replacement accessories.
Printed manuals, promotional materials, recovery media and non-essential accessories are not included unless specifically stated.
Batteries, Software and Compatibility
What battery condition should I expect?
Batteries are consumable components and naturally lose capacity through age, use, charging cycles and storage.
Unless a specific battery-health percentage is stated, battery runtime is not guaranteed to match that of a newly manufactured device.
Refurbished devices are assessed to confirm the battery charges or powers the device to an acceptable operational level at the time of testing.
Is an operating system included?
Where an operating system is included, the product listing will normally state the installed version.
Third-party applications, subscriptions and software licences are not included unless expressly stated.
How do I confirm compatibility before purchasing?
Review the model, specifications, operating system, ports, network frequencies, software requirements and accessory compatibility shown in the listing.
Contact us before purchasing where compatibility with a particular system, network, application or accessory is essential.
Are phones and cellular tablets unlocked?
Unless otherwise stated, cellular devices are expected to be unlocked or compatible with the networks identified in the listing.
Customers should confirm SIM, eSIM, frequency, carrier and regional compatibility before purchasing.
Are refurbished devices still water resistant?
Refurbly does not guarantee the original water-resistance rating of refurbished, repaired or pre-owned devices unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Orders and Payments
How do I know whether my order was successful?
You should receive an order confirmation at the email address entered during checkout. Check your spam or junk folder if it does not arrive.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available methods are displayed at checkout and may include major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay and other approved payment services.
Are prices in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST?
Unless otherwise stated, prices on Refurbly Australia are displayed in Australian dollars and include applicable GST.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an order can be amended or cancelled after fulfilment or dispatch has begun.
A dispatched order may need to be returned under our Refund Policy.
Can I obtain a tax invoice?
Tax invoice or order documentation will normally be sent electronically. Contact us with your order number if you require another copy.

- Major metropolitan areas: approximately 1–4 business days
- Regional locations: approximately 2–7 business days
- Remote locations: approximately 5–12 business days
- Oversized or freight deliveries: approximately 3–12 business days
Delivery estimates begin after dispatch and are guides rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
When will my order be dispatched?
Orders are generally processed on Australian business days. Dispatch usually occurs within one to two business days, subject to stock availability and payment verification.
Which delivery companies do you use?
Orders may be sent through Australia Post, StarTrack, CouriersPlease, Sendle, TNT, FedEx, DHL or another suitable courier or freight provider.
How do I track my order?
Tracking is normally emailed after dispatch and may require up to 24–48 hours to become active.
Products sent from different fulfilment locations may arrive separately.
Can you deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers?
Eligible smaller products may be delivered to Australia Post PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers where supported by the selected carrier.
Freight and oversized products require a physical street address.
What should I do if tracking says delivered but the parcel is missing?
Check safe locations around the property, household members, neighbours, reception staff and any courier delivery photograph or notification.
Contact the courier and Refurbly promptly if the parcel remains missing.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us promptly, preferably within 48 hours. Retain and photograph the shipping carton, courier label, internal packaging, product and included accessories.
Where can I read the complete shipping terms?
Review our Shipping Policy for complete delivery and tracking terms.
Returns, Faults and Refunds
Can I return a product because I changed my mind?
Eligible change-of-mind returns may be accepted where the request is made within the applicable period and the product remains unused, complete and in as-new condition.
Review our Refund Policy before returning a product.
What should I do if my product is faulty?
Contact us with your order number, model, serial number where applicable, a description of the issue and supporting photographs or video.
Depending on the issue and the Australian Consumer Law, the remedy may include repair, replacement, refund or another appropriate resolution.
Do I need return authorisation?
Yes. Obtain return instructions before sending a product. Unauthorised returns may be delayed or returned to the sender.
Who pays for return shipping?
Customers generally pay return shipping for change-of-mind returns. Return costs for faulty or incorrectly supplied products are handled according to the Australian Consumer Law and our Refund Policy.
How long do refunds take?
Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method. Your bank or provider may require approximately 3–10 business days to display the funds.
What should I do before returning an electronic device?
- Back up important data
- Remove personal files
- Sign out of cloud and manufacturer accounts
- Disable activation and device locks
- Remove SIM cards and memory cards
- Remove passwords and PINs
- Perform a factory reset where possible
Warranty and Consumer Rights
Do products include a warranty?
Any applicable warranty period will be stated on the product page, order confirmation or accompanying documentation.
Voluntary warranties operate in addition to rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What is not normally covered by warranty?
- Accidental or impact damage
- Liquid or moisture damage
- Misuse, abuse or neglect
- Incorrect installation
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Power surges or unsuitable accessories
- Normal cosmetic wear
- Normal deterioration of consumable components
These exclusions do not limit rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Are refurbished products covered by Australian Consumer Law?
Consumer guarantees may apply to both new and second-hand products supplied by a business.
Acceptable quality is assessed with regard to the product’s age, price, description, disclosed condition and circumstances of sale.
Do my consumer rights end when the written warranty expires?
Not necessarily. Australian Consumer Law rights operate independently of written manufacturer, distributor or retailer warranties.
